Glasgow children (and greyhound) in the Glasgow rain

The kids had been running around in the pouring rain shouting “taps aff for torrential” in a nearby park. Taps Aff is Scottish vernacular for tops off – the removing of shirts by males in the event of it being warm enough, a phenomenon rarely seen and so much celebrated in Glasgow (although taps aff is still often seen at alarmingly low temperatures).

  1. Thanks awax1217 and Rajiv.
Taps Aff is normally in sunny weather but the kids did not care about the rain. They just ran about getting soaked! They would probably love monsoon season in India.
